Using Firefox, my gmail inbox is my home page - and has been for several years. As of yesterday, the page opens but the page is blank. I am not aware of any changes that I have made.

I do not have this problem using chrome on the same device or firefox on other devices.

Probably something simple, but I have no idea what.

Firefox just introduced a cool feature that lets us set custom wallpapers on the home screen—love it! But whenever I try using pictures from my personal library, they don’t fit properly and end up getting cropped. Resizing doesn’t help either, since making the image smaller just ruins the quality.

So, is there a specific format I should be using? Like, does it need to be JPEG only, or will any file type work? And if any format is fine, what’s the ideal one for the best results? I couldn’t find anything in the settings or help pages about this.

When I try to save a page as a link, the space for the URL is filled with 'VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV'! How do I fix this? I can't take a screenshot because it disappears when I switch to cut & snip or 'save screen'.

I have tried to sync between my two computers, but it did not work out well:

e.g when I click on ‘show more bookmarks (>>)’ on the right side of the screen (next to Other Bookmarks) I get - Firefox is not responding and I have to click on

-> Close the program.

If I click on -> Wait for the program to respond - Firefox never responds! And before I click on -> Close the Program - my keyboard input is totally erratic!

This occurs on both computers! - what can I do…..

I have therefor on the computer I want to be on the receiving end:

- deleted: History, Downloads and Tags and All Bookmarks - Cleared browsing data and cookies - Closed all open tabs

And now I am Signed in with Syncing; ON - on both computers again.

But I have not checked any of the check-boxes in ‘Manage sync…’ - ‘Manage what syncs on all your connected devices’ i.e. Bookmarks, Passwords, settings, History, Payment methods, Open tabs, Add-ons

Why is there no check-box tag groups!

What do I have to do on my SOURCE compute and on the DESTINATION computer for - a one way sync of everything?

Yes, please don't give me the MS ctrl-alt-del type of response about cookies.... That was done many times before posting this. The website works fine in Brave. MS Edge well, let's not speak of it in public company shall we.

So, now what the heck is happening to FF???? I have contacted HF three times and they referred me to use other browsers other than FF. No, I DO NOT have multiple extensions nor themes. FF is bare bones but for uBlock. Hardware acceleration is off and MS Clear type is on. Anybody wanna fess up, who broke this????

The recommended methods, changing to this in the registry :

Reverts back to 00000001

When I launch the browser, can I not preload tabs that I have not used yet in this session, but which are open from the previous one? This is slowing down my weak PC. I did not find anything about this either on the Internet or in the reference book. Thanks in advance for your answer

I HAD TO DELETE MY WINDOWS 10 COMPLETELY FROM THIS PC BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS WITH DOWNLOADS. I HAD YOUR FIREFOX BROWSER AND YOUR VPN INSTALLED ON IT. AS I AM PAYING FOR IT, I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT YOU PUT IT ON THIS VERSION OF WINDOWS THAT I HAVE INSTALLED. PLEASE ADVISE. TOM MOORE.

Hii. Amazing browser tho, whenever i pin something on top or chuck it into essentials - when i close that tab - it disappears (and reappears on browser restart) - i could not locate any setting pertaining to essentials that would stop that behavior (ideally when i close the pinned/essential tab i would love it to stay there as a bookmark - anyone know of a way to achieve this?

Microsoft seems to have cut Firefox out for video chats. This is a recent change. Their message is that video is not supported by my browser (Firefox)

I submitted a question earlier about not being able to use DocuSign. jonzn4SUSE was very quick with a response that worked perfectly. However, when I tried to mark it solved, I got the following error message. In addition, I didn't know where to find my original question so I could thank Jon and mark the issue closed.    Check to make sure you’ve typed the website address correctly.

Firefox won't open. System says it can't find VCRUNTIME140.DLL. There are SEVERAL copies on the drive. I believe I Refreshed and Reinstalled? And still cannot run.

This is the first time Firefox has failed in years. There are no instructions for this specific problem. FWIW I just installed AURA seemingly without problems.

Yesterday, April 5, 2025, my Firefox started displaying this message for every search typed in the browser:

"Our systems have detected unusual traffic on your computer network. This page verifies that it is really you, and not a robot, sending the requests. Why did this happen?"

I tried a few solutions: I cleared the cache, restored Firefox, reinstalled Firefox, restarted the internet modem, reset the computer's DNS using the ipconfig/flushdns command, scanned for malware with Windows Defender, and scanned for viruses and malware with Kaspersky, but the problem persists, both in the normal tab and in the private tab.

I contacted my internet provider, and they said there is no problem on their side.

In Firefox, I always use the default search engine "Google".

When I change the search engine to "Bing", the problem does not occur.

The problem does not occur in the Google Chrome browser, only in Firefox.

I am using Firefox 115.22.0esr (64-bit), Windows 7 operating system and internet connection via network cable. I only have one computer connected and I don't use VPN.

Please, can you help me?

Hello: FF 140.b9 64b w11p. Are there ANY search engines (not nec browsers, just want to do a search in the address bar or search field) that do NOT go to an AI site to search? I want to minimize my use of AI technology, which uses extremely environmentally costly data farms. Thank you.
