I'm not sure I understand "safe mode bla blah". Do you mean that you ran clean-up software in Windows Safe Mode, and that didn't help, or you tried using Firefox's Safe Mode to visit a few sites and you had the same problem? Or you didn't have the problem?

If you haven't tried Firefox's Safe Mode, give that a try. It's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?

I ran all clean up softwares in Safe Mode and it didnt help. I just want to know from where these ads come, all softwares says that everything is clean. From add ones I just have Adblock plus.

And when I'm in Safe Mode they dont show up.

There are many ways to attack a browser. If the problem is not an Extension, then I'd consider connection settings. You can check here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network mini-tab > "Settings" button

The default is "Use system proxy settings" but you could also try "No proxy" to see whether that works any better.

By the way, have you tested Internet Explorer to see whether it is suffering from the same problem?

I tried opera now and it seems that nothing pops up. And in firefox I checked No proxy, but they still come.

Hi pomoziteee, just to get a better picture of the symptoms:

  • Does this problem happen on ALL web sites or just on some sites, such as Google search results?
  • If you open links by right-clicking and choosing Open Link in New Tab, does the popup still pop up?
  • Do you recall when it started? Had you made any software changes around that time that you can remember?

I tried now few sites and nothing pops up,but when I tried on they again came out. And it's not like every second but quiet often. I tried on Opera and everything is fine. And I also think that before were another sites, before I installed Adblock

It doesnt matter if it is Open link in new tab or just click on link.

I didnt recall anything,I installed complete new firefox with new setings,I mean "normal" settings but I didnt request to set old setting at the beggining of installation.

And thank you for helping!

If the ads are coming from particular sites, I think Adblock Plus may be your best defense. Firefox's built-in pop-up blocker is designed to block new windows that open when you haven't done anything. If the window is opened after a click, that is allowed.

Aha,ok. But maybe is some problem with router,i dont quite understand but can you please help what i have to do to check if problem is with it,these guys were writing about that here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/697011?page=2

Hi pomoziteee, what the user in the other thread is describing is a problem with DNS settings. This specifies how web addresses will be looked up. If your system or router is attacked and different DNS servers are entered, then you could be visiting fake or modified sites.

If you are using a DSL or cable modem, it usually will be set to use your service provider's DNS servers.

You can override this if you are using a separate wired or wireless router between your computer and your DSL or cable modem.

You also can override those in Windows, by setting different DNS servers in Internet Explorer's LAN settings.

The last place to change it was in the Connection Settings dialog, but you already checked that.

Digging around in your router and Windows settings may be a little too technical for this forum, but perhaps you can find it on your own or by searching for the user manuals for your equipment.

hello, could you go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
