Web page does not load; probably due to some button / mouse click combination

So we had a coffee spill onto our laptop, which causes now certain keys to press down by themselves every now and then (quite often in fact), most often it is the enter key that gets stuck. I believe that this "feature" combined suitably with left/right mouse clicks has caused some glitch that a webpage where this suitable combination has happened, load blank now.

Today this happened to my gmail account: while browsing mails, I noticed something happening on the screen (was too fast to see what there was, but sure enough, at least the enter key was stuck) but after this, I can only load gmail with basic HTML, not in standard view. The other affected page is www.w126-forum.de, loads plain blank. With Explorer, the German page loads just fine.

No other pages are (yet) affected...

Hi,

If you didn't accidentally click any site specific settings dialog box - for eg. Gmail has an option to change to plain HTML version - you could try the Reset Firefox feature via Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information.

(To revert to the previous profile you were using, close the new profile (i.e. exit Firefox), start Firefox and choose the Default User profile. While the Profile Manager is open, you can also delete the newly reset profile (the one containing random numbers), or the former profile, as the case may be). If the reset is okay, it would be a good idea to delete the old profile as otherwise it would be left intact with the previous data until deleted.
