I have cookies that do not expire till the year 5000. How do i delete these cookies? example: hurra.com expires 12-30-5000.

You can remove the cookies from an individual site by going to Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Matt, thanks for your speedy reply. I followed your instructions and the cookies went away, but then they came back again. Maybe i have to reinstall FF. Pls adv.

Let all cookies expire when you close Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Keep until": "I close Firefox"

Make an Allow exception for the ones that you want to keep.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions"

You can inspect and modify the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences" (Site Preferences includes the cookie exceptions)
