Firefox crashes
dear support,
I have firefox 8.0 on windows XP pro SP3. I have a really annoying but that everytime I try to save a file and I want to create a new folder in Firefox the tool hangs. No crash ID.
It is REALLY annoying and it started with the new series of updates (I would say a couple of months ago).

A crash and a hang are two different things. If Firefox is hanging (not responding) see:
Well, it doesn't proceed from there and I need to terminate it. So it also result in a crash.
Yeah, if Firefox stops responding and you have to force-quit by ending the firefox.exe process, then Firefox interprets that as a crash (unexpected close) but the original problem is still Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix and you have to check that article for a solution.
You can also look through What to do if you can't download or save files.
Be aware that Firefox 8 is still in beta stage and may have unresolved bugs.
There are other things that need your attention.
Your above posted system details show outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks that you should update.

Update the Flash plugin to the latest version.
