What version of Firefox was on the old macbook? If it was at least Firefox 3 then you can use the process in the backing up and restoring bookmarks article.

If you had Firefox 2 or earlier on the old macbook, you will need to copy the bookmarks.html file from the profile folder of the old computer and import that file into your new version. To find the profile folder see the profiles article, and for importing, see importing Bookmarks from an HTML File.
