Firefox 117.0.1 (64 bit) Build 20230912013654 Windows 10 Home - Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3448 The link to download my Sears credit card statement in pdf form has disappeared when accessing the website (https://citiretailservices.citibankonline.com) with Firefox. It still appears and works normally when the website is accessed with Chrome. I have the uBlock Origin extension installed on Firefox, but it is disabled on the Sears website. Screencaps attached.

The point of creating a new profile is that you test Firefox in that new fresh profile without having to worry about your current profile, you can also easily use the Profile Manager or the about:profiles page to return to the current profile and possibly repair it what isn't possible if you use the Firefox refresh feature that moves the profile to the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop.

The third profile with the timestamp appended got created due a using a refresh (1625700168529: July 8 2021). You can possibly check compatibility.ini in this profile to see what Firefox version last used this profile, but since it also was last modified on the same day, you can safely remove this file as it would only contain data from over two years ago.

MORE INFO I just noticed that particular website has to be accessed via http://pay.searscard.com

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Restarted FF in Troubleshoot Mode. It's been 13 minutes and the card site will not even load. Just the spinning circle. Same with Facebook, Youtube, and CNN. Google search works but none of the links in the results are clickable. Everything is normal using Chrome.

Okay. After 17 minutes, everything finally loaded and is working normally, except I'm still not getting the pdf download link (PDF download links/buttons on my other credit card/banking site work normally).

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.

Developer Edition installs separately and won't overwrite anything.

Can I sync or import my bookmarks, etc, and use D.E. as my everyday browser?

DE is a developer build (update channel: aurora) and updates twice per week, just like Beta. Best is to stay at the Firefox releases as DE was only suggested as a quick test. DE in currently halted at 118.0b9 which is the last update in this cycle and 118 will be released in a few days Tuesday 26th.

Did you try a new profile with the release version ?

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

I'm going to wait until tomorrow to give the new profile thing a shot. A few questions first:

Should I copy my current profile to another location as a backup before I start?

After creating the new profile, do I copy-in files from the old one, one-at-a-time, until I hit the one that breaks things?

See attached image for this next question. Should I delete that 2-yr old profile?

    • Also, Thank You guys very much for the help. I'm in a little over my head here, but I think I can make it with your help**

My new profile synced and picked up my bookmarks and most of my browser settings. I have also installed several extensions that I use daily into my new profile. Everything, including the sears site, seems to be working okay. I'm guessing I can just go forward with the new profile and forget about the old one?

Should I delete the old profile? It is much larger than the new one. Is that normal? (img attached)
