Firefox address book lost with latest upgrade

The last Firefox upgrade did not bring the Firefox address book with it, all my contacts are lost. How could this happen and why, it stops me from using Firefox for emails and I am lost. Need a fast solution to something that should never happen.

lets start with simple things. Is your issue firefox or the Thunderbird mail client? They are two completely different things and made by different companies.

The error you mention about keyrings sounds like something to do with encrypted email. Something less than .08% of emails use. There is detailed information on PGP, which uses the term keyring here https://users.ece.cmu.edu/~adrian/630-f04/PGP-intro.html

At this point I have no idea as to what the question is. Were you asked to re enter your email account information perhaps? I await your clarifications.
