I lost everything after an update; bookmarks, history, favourites, configurations... months of use. I need to get all that back.

Nothing I've found in the support page solved anything at all. I need to get my stuff back.

How the f*ck did anyone think that deleting EVERYTHING from an app with an update was in any way useful or a good idea???

Sorry to hear! Did you have an account with Firefox to sync all of your bookmarks, settings, history, etc?

No

Perhaps Firefox automatically created a new Profile? It's been known to happen recently, but there's a message provided.

Type about:profiles in the Location Bar (the URL bar) and hit Enter. Then see how many Profiles you have.

If you have more than one, use Launch Profile in a new browser and see if your Firefox data is in that Profile.

I already tried that, there's only one profile.

When I've done updates, the first thing FF did was create a folder on the desktop "Old Firefox data" if it's not there search your computer. If you find it, importing should be easy. if not, search for all profiles (I don't remember the file type) as once it deleted everything but it was still in the Trash.

I do have the folder but I don't know how to import it. I tried moving it to the mozilla folder in roaming but it didn't work. What should I do?

I tried this and it didnt work either!!!

After a refresh my bookmarks, history, & saved logins all disapeared. I need to get them back!

I have tried to do the things mentioned, but nothing seems to work. I don't understand some of the terms and suggestions. I need to be walked through the steps I need to take. I do have an "old firefox data file" on my desk top. I have no idea what to do with it. For each item in the folder there is a "date last modified" column and these range over more than a year. Please tell me how to recover my history, bookmarks, and saved logins (passwords).

I can find the files: place.sqlite, keydb, and logins.json. Howeve I can't do anything with them.

I can't believe this is happening again. It will take days to recover from this, what are you guys thinking ? Trying to get some work done, now this !!!!!!! I feel like stabbed in the back.
