I look at charts all day and every time I bring one up, firefox says it prevented updates. I then have to click the allow button. My charts automatically update every five minutes and I want to eliminate this update block. thanks

Maybe it's the redirect block, which also affects some automatic refreshes. You can check here:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences

In the left column, click Advanced. Then on the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, make sure the following is not selected (box is not checked): "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

Success?

Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select Update. Check the settings.
