I think you have a different issue as that error about ashes.dll has nothing to do with Thunderbird.

Start computer in 'Safe Mode' and then run anti-virus and malware scans.

Perhaps you have downloaded the 'Ashes' game and it has not installed correctly? I would not expect to see .dll files in the Roaming folder.
