adblock plus is not blocking video in my empty email inbox

I am annoyed with the Yahoo videos that assault me every time my email box is empty, so I took the advice of many and uploaded the ad blocker suggested for Firefox. As of yet I have seen no change. Have I missed something?

Those videos may not look like ads to the blocker.

Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it

OK, then the question is what can I do about it. I don't want to see this stuff, it is annoying. It almost feels like I am being invaded. j
