I use Comcast e-mail but every time I try to check in I get a Thunderbird window. This goes away if I click the red cross.

I use only Comcast email but Thunderbird screen with Comcast emails shows up first when I try to log in. I can get Comcast after I've cancelled Thunderbird. I do not have a Thunderbird email address. I do not have an uninstall capability that works. Thank you.

There is no such thing as a Thunderbird email address so of course you do not have one. I can only guess that you are seeing the Thunderbird start page when you first open the program. If that bothers you go into options and turn it off. Have you entered your Comcast info into Thunderbird?

Yes, the problem bothers me and I do not know how to "go into Options and turn it off" as you suggest. Some of us are old and not computer-savvy—sorry. It is time-consuming to have to get rid of the seemingly fake email screen before I can open my legitimate email page. And no, I have not entered my comcast info to Thunderbird. Thank you for trying, anyway.

Press the alt key to make the Menu Bar show From the Menu bar select Tools-Options I think the option for the start page is on the General tab. I do not have Thunderbird in front of me to check. So you use free software and think their start page is a fake email screen? How interesting.
