I am running Windows 8.1 with Thunderbird 24.6.0 and Lightning 2.6.5. When I want to edit a calendar event and open the event I get a screen that say edit just this event or edit all events. When I click either, I get a small screen that provides the information about the event but offers no ability to edit. The how to change information about an event article under support says that opening the event should provide me with the editing capability, but I am not getting that. Am I doing something wrong or is there another method of editing events, like changing start times? Also when I open the event, the delete event option is grayed out, so I can't just delete the event and re-enter it.

Thanks for your help.

have a look at the list of calendar on the left.... Is there an exclamation mark or a read only flag on the calendar.

Is it local or remote (like google or Yahoo or others)?

I have two calendars, home and US holidays. Neither has any kind of flag.

I am not sure what you mean by local, but the calendar is Lightning, not Google or any other.
