Bookmark icon/keybind do not point to last folder used

When bookmarking a new page it would be very helpful if the last used folder was displayed instead of 'unsorted bookmarks' or 'bookmarks menu'.

Usually when one is searching for information on a certain topic they will be saving pages into a folder setup for that topic, so it is normal to want to save many bookmarks into this folder. Currently, one has to use the dropdown list for /every/ bookmark.

I cannot say enough how much time and effort would be saved if it displayed the last folder.

Try this addon, it will remember the last selected folder when you bookmark a page.

Add bookmark Here 2 - hope this will help you :)

Ok looks like the thing. Not available for 17.0 though, so I'll have a look at the nightlies. Thanks.

I have to say though that if it just switched to that folder when using ctrl-d or clicking the star it would still be a great benefit, so I'll leave this open for now to see what happens.

Use Version 17.0.20121128 of Add Bookmark Here ² from this page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-bookmark-here-2/versions/ for Firefox 17.0.

You may not be aware of this, but Firefox 17 is a old version - the current release version is Firefox 24. No need to use a Nightly version, which may have other incompatibilities in add-ons.
