I can't search the web; search display changed overnight and when I try to enter a search topic and search for it, an error message appears.

When Firefox wouldn't work today, I tried Safari and it worked, but I don't like it compared to Firefox. Did you change something overnight? When I opened Firefox this morning, the search page was different and it wouldn't search for anything. It just says that an error occurred when searching. Help, please!

Can you provide a screenshot of the error? ____________________________________________________________________________

Try the following two links:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-your-default-search-settings-firefox

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-or-remove-search-engine-firefox ____________________________________________________________________________

If problem persists then try Safe Mode {https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode} by holding down the <Options> key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Also, you should consider updating Firefox and Adobe Flash.

Hope this helps!
