When importing mbox file I received the following error: Impossibile to import in this folder (imap or newsgroup type)

The support notes for this add-on state:

"you can't import mbox files in IMAP or NEWS accounts or folders"

Right-click Local Folders, ImportExportTools/Import mbox file.

You may also find this useful in case you need to [import MBOX files to Thunderbird], bring it on the same or different platform. This blog helped me to import all my MBOX to Thunderbird. It also discusses the way out if you have got corrupted MBOX in process of importing your file. You must read the blog and I hope you will find it useful.
