I was trying to upload ONE screenshot, but it did NOT matter because, AS I SAID in my original post, the screenshot did not show the salient information: the cursor with the spinning ball does NOT show up in the screen shot.

I know quite a few people are having this problem (I am a computer consultant). I like Firefox and would like to start using it again, so a solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, back to the other browser unfortunately.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
