My preferences page doesn't display any text so it makes changing them very difficult.

I've tried turning off all of my extensions and changing to a default theme, all to no avail.

Hi, please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st: Delete your Cookies and Cache and TEST.

then

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Refreshing Firefox worked! Thank you!

Note that this can happen if you set text color and background color to the same color.

I have the same problem. I have a clean install of v64, and I've tried the solutions suggested above, but still not seeing the text for some add-ons' options. Some, like "trash mail" display OK, but other like "ReloadMatic" just show the checkboxes with no text.

@ FredMCD:

This is an old thread created in August by another user on Mac, so the info in the System Details list doesn't apply.

@ guiman:

Could you please start a new thread for your question?

Then you can provide more information like your operating system and installed extensions/plugins.

Are you possibly using a dark theme in your OS?

This could also be a problem with a font.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Hi. I've updated Flash, and started a new thread as you suggested.

Thanks.
