Just want to thank you folks at Mozilla for causing a complete hard drive failure installing your newest version of Firefox. I’ve used FF for many years and this is the first issue I’ve ever experienced. This new browser is so intrusive it crashed my computer and caused a no boot situation! I lost all my personal files due to this! This browser doesn’t need all the customizable bullshit offered! Thanks for effing up my system and causing major issues now to try to recover my most important files. I’ll be using TOR straight out now! Bunch of bullshit!!

ΕΚΑΝΑ ΕΡΩΤΗΜΑ ΣΤΗΝ ΑΙ ΤΟΝ ΙΟΥΛΙΟ 2026 καλημέρα, παρακαλώ πολύ πείτε μου τι ειδους ιστορια ειναι αυτή στην εικόνα που σας στέλνω? τι πρόβλημα υπάρχει με αυτή την εφαρμογή που έχει κατέβει τόσες φορέσ στον Η/Υ μου & προσπαθεί να εγκατασταθει κατά την εκκίνηση του? ενω την έχω ήδη εγκατεστημένη εδώ και χρόνια? πως θα απαλλαγώ απο αυτή την διαδικασία? δεν αντιλαμβάνεται ότι την έχω εγκατεστημένη?

ΑΠΑΝΤΗΣΗ ΠΟΥ ΕΛΑΒΑ Η εικόνα δείχνει τις ρυθμίσεις των Εφαρμογών Εκκίνησης (Startup Apps) των Windows, όπου το Firefox εμφανίζεται πολλές φορές, αλλά είναι ήδη απενεργοποιημένο («Ανενεργό»). Δεν πρόκειται για πολλαπλές εγκαταστάσεις του προγράμματος στον υπολογιστή σας, ούτε για προσπάθεια εκ νέου εγκατάστασης. Το πρόβλημα οφείλεται σε διπλότυπες εγγραφές στο Μητρώο (Registry) των Windows, οι οποίες δημιουργούνται συνήθως μετά από διαδοχικές αυτόματες ενημερώσεις (updates) του Firefox, χωρίς το λειτουργικό σύστημα να διαγράφει τις παλιές καταχωρήσεις εκκίνησης.

Καλά δεν γνωρίζουν οι δημιουργοί της τα προβλήματα που δημιουργεί και σας είχα περιγράψει, πώς θα απαλλαγώ οριστικα απο αυτα? έχετε κάποια ιδέα, Αυτοί έκαναν κάτι για αυτά? Οι δημιουργοί του Firefox (Mozilla) γνωρίζουν το πρόβλημα, καθώς αποτελεί γνωστό Bug που προκύπτει από τη σύγκρουση της έκδοσης του Microsoft Store με τα Windows 11. Δυστυχώς, επειδή πρόκειται για πρόβλημα που επηρεάζει κυρίως τη συνεργασία του Store με το Μητρώο, η Mozilla δεν έχει εκδώσει κάποιο μαγικό κουμπί διόρθωσης, με αποτέλεσμα οι μεγάλες ενημερώσεις των Windows να «σπάνε» τις ρυθμίσεις ασφαλείας που είχαμε κάνει στο Μητρώο (Registry). Desktop version update to 157.0.1 acted like a fresh install. Prompted me to import from previous browser. Firefox was my previous browser. I have my bookmarks backed up, but lost all my tab groups, which is a huge problem to try and recreate. Lost downloaded themes. Lost downloaded extensions. Why did this happen? I can't imagine it was by design.

Hi, After a Firefox update my tablet, running Windows 11, always freezes up - no mouse, keyboard, etc. - about 8 minutes after startup, and I have to perform a Windows reset. Currently writing this from an older Windows 10 tablet while the current one is resetting!

Yesterday (10/1/26) Firefox went through SEVERAL updates to v.157.0. Now, it behaves extremely buggy and locks up if I try to open more than one window. It was never this pathetic! I want to revert back to the previous version. Yes, I am running Win10.

Also, now it will not even close properly. I have to go into program manager to kill all of the subprocesses that have spawned. I DON'T LIKE THIS VERSION AT ALL!!!!!

when updating from 154.0 to 157.0 I get a pop up window saying there is a helper that needs to be installed, but when I input my admin account details it gets stuck and won't continue the update (Firefox appears frozen in Activity monitor). The only way to sort this out seems to stop any updates by issuing the command:

rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/Mozilla/updates

from a terminal window. This way I can restart Firefox, but it did not update of course. Is there any solution to this? Thank you !

I have auto-update enabled on my desktop (Windows 10) but the browser still has a popup message that asks me to "restart to install updates" every time I open it. It says the updates install successfully, but next time I go on Firefox it wants me to close and reopen the app again. Auto-updates are, as stated, enabled, and it should be able to update in the background, but it doesn't. Is it something wrong with my instance of Firefox, or maybe my desktop has some settings wrong?? I have disabled and re-enabled auto-updates, and restarted my computer, just to get the basic fixes out of the way lol. The updates work just fine on my laptop (also Windows 10) btw.

I would like to report abuse of Firefox users. The twice per session Update Bug has finally driven me to another browser. Mozilla has strayed far from it's user friendly heritage. I am so feed up I have moved on.

Why will vers 156 not upgrade properly. it seems to find a file that is limiting them to max/min 155.01. How can I download 155.01 again so I don't have to use Chrome?

I use the link provided in firefox help. It provides a window with a link to download a new version. but I click on the link, get an update window. I click on the download now and the download doesn't happen. It just sits there showing 0 bytes downloaded. How to update?

I have the latest version of Mozilla Firefox 155.0.Every time i update to latest version my Norton 360 for Gamers antivirus Safe Web application blocks the update process and i report it as False Positive and Mozilla Firefox updates ok. I have attached and image of Norton's Safe Web application analysis. Also,have submitted this issue to Norton using their Report False Positive form and have not had a reply yet. Thank you

'I cannot access anything unless I turn off computer and restart... Moz/firefox started updating and then stopped...ugh...I liked my PC the way it was... I use a Windows 7 pro and everything worked till y'all started trying to sync devices for me!!! What in the God's creation is Happening??
