I posted this a few days ago but can't find it to see if someone replied.

Hello I've inadvertently changed my Firefox settings while I was using the new background feature. The pages are now all white and text boxes on programs highlighted. Many aspects are highlighted and I can't see the cursor at times. Would you point me in the direction to get support please? thank you, Susan

Fonts are not scaled correctly. Too big and overlapping and too small on same page. Not scaling to fit page. Worse on Youtube and gmail. Screen shot is from this page!

When uploading a file to attach to another app...the upload window opens up in dark mode. I don't like this and I did not change anything but it happens repeatedly. i have checked all options in settings to make sure the light mode is checked. Why is this happening. i did not change anything. Please advise. Thanks

frustration here, yet very blessed to be celebrating our Nation's 250th anniversary. That said, PLEASE straighten out why Firefox = Mozilla = ????????????????

Also, I tried to return to a 'normal' cursor. I changed it back to said normal cursor. It's back to tall, looks like a door, I feel still proud to be an American, BUT PLEASE HELP THIS OLD LADY OUT!!!

Vorne vor der eingabezeile ist seit neuerem ein Symbol. das zum Aufklappen ist. Bei mir: z. B, Cronik, und genau dieses will ich statt "Verbindung haben, bzw. dauerhaft ändern wollen. wer kann helfen ? Danke Hermann

I don;t know whether it is Firefox of Win 10, but I can't seem to reduce the amount of white space (or reduce the line spacing) when viewing websites. I'm at 80% size which is the best compromise between getting more information on a page, and legibility. Having a font which is darker or thicker would help as well, then I could reduce to maybe 60 or 70 %.

So Firefox total changed my browser design. It has taken over my full screen. My tabs are on the side now. There is no back or forward arrows to go back to the previous web page. The add-ons are no longer visible or accessible. And there is no way to close the browser without using the task manager.

macOS Tahoe, Firefox 152.0.3 macOS settings include "Appearance - Auto"; i.e. system switches from light to dark at sunset. While the "top area" (tabs, address bar, bookmarks bar) of Firefox follows this - some of the pages themselves do NOT???

I found this website which was at top of the search results. I tried to follow it, but it seems to be badly outdated in certain key respects: esp wrt a setting called "ui.systemUsesDarkTheme" in about:config. I set this to "True", but may have screwed this up!! First question: Should I "reset" this somehow?

Finally: To get at the primary question, there are two "sub-questions" that may explain my confusion more clearly:

1. Is there no ***simple way*** to get Firefox & webpages I view to follow macOS Light/Dark appearance?? What are the CORRECT steps?

2. Do individual webpages have the ability to "decide for themselves" whether or not they will adhere to the system light/dark settings. This may well be an officially "stupid question", but while "most" webpages remain "Light" (including this Support page), a few pages appear dark.

Firefox is opening comments to youtube shorts in a popup window that covers the video. It should be opening to the side in a panel like on my other computer. I have no addons. I cleared cookies and site data. I made sure I have firefox set to open new web pages in a new tab. Nothing helps

I have added no addon's. I checked plugin's and there are two. Open H264 video codec provided by Cisco and Widevine content description module provided by google. I have no idea what these are or why they are there.

I don't know why any browser never seems to allow for this. I hate using the mouse wheel to scroll down webpages and always use the scroll bar on the right side. Problem is most of the time it's way to skinny/narrow to be practically used and the bar you use to scroll it up and down - especially on long pages - is so tiny as to be completely unusable. It may not be an issue for tweens who still have eyes like hawks but for older people, like me, it's a pain in the tuchus. I'd like to be able to increase both the size - width mostly - of the slide rail and increase the overall size of the slide bar you use to control it.

Those instructions don't work and I'm sick of spending so much time on this problem these days.

Now thinking it happens after an update, which is a problem because they seem to come just days apart. None of the solutions offered works because right-clicking on the top doesn't do anything. Nor does going into the settings in the app on my laptop or online. I've downloaded and installed the latest version of Firefox more than once in the recent past. I've also shut down my laptop and rebooted. Nothing works. It's extremely annoying not to be able to access the features that I use *all the time*! day. I'm using a laptop with updated Windows 11.
