I start to make a new email message. I start typing in the recipient's email. Auto-complete finishes the address but misspells it. The recipient's email in all the address lists have it correctly. I recently saw the light and came over from Outlook. I imported my Outlook address list. It was correct in Outlook. Newest version of Thunderbird. thunderbird-MSIX - 1.0

Recently, when reviewing my emails the correspondent is NOT correctly listed. It's another entry in my contacts with no connection to the email, which IS in my contacts. It's getting worse and worse, happening more frequently. The header info is correct within the email, but it doesn't display correctly in the correspondent field. Checked my email provider, and they are listed correctly there.

How do I get the correct correspondent to be listed for the corresponding email within thunderbird?

I want to move some contacts from one mailing list to another. How do I do that?

How do I add a contact to an existing mailing list? The contact is already in my address book and is not a new contact.

I continually get this message from Thunderbird: https://p123-contacts.icloud.com is requesting your username and password. I have entered apple pw but it never stops. Anyone else seen this?

When I added my treasurer@mlakes.org email to my Thunderbird account all of my previous contacts were not included. Can they somehow be added ?

I have a backup file from another thunderbird installation. The profile in this backup contains a file named abook.mab. I suppose this is the address book. I would like to copy the addresses from this installation to my current thunderbird 147.0.1 (64-bit). Tools > import > address book does not work. Can you please advise me?

I left outlook and chose tbird with cardbook. I am not happy with it. When I choose "new message" I get a blank form and can choose an individual addressee but do not have the option of addressing I group I created. My contacts are in google with supposed cardbook coordination. I think your contact list is interferring with the cardbook data. This is a kluge. How do I fix it

Trying to set up a mailing list for emails. Not sure how to set up a group that I can use to list names and emails. Went to help. Instructions said to > open address book > select file > new > mailing list. I went to address book ok but cannot find 'File' there.

Am after assistance in getting mailing list set up.

I tried importing my Outlook Classic address book. As you can see from the attachment, I really messed it up!. I am not technical at all, I wasn't sure if I needed to import my contacts or my address book. I think, but am not really sure, that I exported my .pst file, address book to a csv vile. Can anyone one straighten me out? If I have to start over, how do I delete the mess I created without loosing all of my other settings? Thank you very much 😊😊😊

Thunderbird still syncs Gmail contacts even though I have no Gmail account in TB. I imported a Vcard into TB and deleted a couple contacts. Went back into Gmail contacts and had to restore them.

Monsieur, Je voudrais envoyer un mail et ... plus de carnet d'adresse !? D ou ma colere et ma surprise, j espere que la nouvelle vertion de Thunderbird n a pas écrase mon carnet d adresse ! Ou le trouver ? et le mettre en lien la nouvelle vertion pour l utiliser comme avant ! si c'est possible ! Nachdem mein PC neu installiert wurde musste ich auch alle Programme wieder neu installieren. Leider fehlen bei der Installation von Thunderbird meine vorherigen Email-Adressen, bzw. Adressbuch, und bei Firefox die vorherigen Favoriten. Wie kann ich diese Wiederherstellen? Make email addresses easily copyable.

My address book is the foundation of my office.

The email addresses are regularly copied into other programs. Unfortunately, they always appear in this format. Reinhard Gnath <info@r-gnath.de>

Since the latest update to my Thunderbird installation (Windows 11), my previously created Mailing Lists have stopped working after always working well. Thunderbird Release: 140.7.0esr (64-bit)

I now get the message below when I try to send an email using a mailing list address:

• • • Committee <*** Committee members> is not a valid email address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the email. (Name partially starred out for security).
