With the update to 115.10.0esr my bookmarks that were on the left hand side of the screen are gone. When I look at bookmarks there are a few, but I had multiple folders for different subjects, I do not find. I would like to have the procedure to return my bookmarks back to the left hand side of the screen with all of my bookmarks, bookmark folders, and other bookmarks like it was prior to the update. What happened to it? When it was deleted? Why? Is there a way to restore it?

I have a Mac desktop, a laptop with Windows 11, and an Android phone. I have about 120 bookmarks saved. On my Mac, they periodically backup fine and I can restore them if anything goes wonky. My phone and Windows laptop both show all the same bookmarks as the Mac. However, if I go to Manage Bookmarks to restore them on the Windows laptop, it shows many backups have occurred but only 5 bookmarks have been backed up. I have signed out of Firefox on all devices and signed back in. The Windows laptop did one correct backup showing the 120 or so bookmarks, and then every subsequent backup shows only 5 again. After a few weeks, the "correct" backup has been overwritten and is gone.

Anybody know what I can check to make the Windows laptop backup my bookmarks correctly?

To upload/import bookmarks into Firefox, the file extension of JSON is required. However from old crashed computer, I exported bookmarks in Excel. Please help. Thanks

Hi, so on my office pc I work with firefox. I made an account specifically to store every bookmarks etc on that account so when my company updates something I'll always have my bookmarks. Unfortunately somehow since yesterday they all disapeared, and no I'm unable to recover them with the different methods that are foreseen on your website. please advise kr daniel

i am setting up a new laptop and trying to import all my current data from my old pc. Nothing is right. It imported alll the shortcuts on my toolbar from years ago. None of these are the current bookmarks from my old pc. ive tried syncing, importing again, nothing works. my bookmarks on my side bar are years old. I dont have ANY of these on my old pc as i deleted them years ago. what the heck is happening and how do i get my new pc browser to look exactly as my old pc looks. This is very frustrating. I have over 500 bookmarks on my sidebar. it looks like every bookmark i have EVER used. This is ridiculous.

Is it possible to import bookmarks for a different Mozilla account. Apparently I have 2 different Mozilla accounts. I had been using (I'll call it account #1) for quite a while, and recently subscribed to Mozilla VPN service. When I subscribed i gave it login info for "Account #2". How can I keep the logon info for the VPN, and get my bookmarks imported from the old (routinely used account #1) ? Or, can I change the VPN service to the old account (account #1)? I know how to add another device to the VPN account, but the "accounts" are on the same "device".

This morning, I was unable to log into Discord to watch a livestream because my hard drive was overfull and it was unable to install a mandatory update. Because this was a time sensitive issue, I wiped a bunch of crap off my drive as fast as I could, and I guess somehow I deleted my browser bookmarks because the field now shows as empty when I open Firefox. I was able to track down the backup file, but it throws an error when I tell it to restore. Is there anything I can do about this?

Windows 10 PC bookmarks have disappeared. Followed instructions to other profiles where momentarily saw bookmarks in a different profile, but couldn't find instructions on how to copy into default profile. Then bookmarks disappeared from that profile also. I do NOT want to sync to my other device; it has its own bookmarks. How can I retrieve my bookmarks other than syncing?!! Seems like a lot of other folks have the same problem.

After resetting my PC, I reinstalled Mozilla Firefox, but encountered an issue with it. Despite being unsure of the cause, if this problem occurs for a third time, I'm considering discontinuing the use of Firefox and advising others against it. I've lost my bookmarks multiple times, which is concerning. Although I initially attempted to recover my account using my email, I couldn't recall my password. Consequently, I utilized Mozilla's account recovery key. However, even after this process, my bookmarks, which were saved in the toolbar Come back but shortcut labeled "ROW" Bookmarks are not come back. I'm seeking assistance to retrieve them or clarity regarding Mozilla's responsibility in this matter. While apologies are not necessary, I am focused on restoring my bookmarks or exploring options for compensation for the loss incurred.

How to reach a site used in the past (whether typed URL or used saved Bookmark!) ---but now Firefox won't let me access now, please?! I have some sites for decorating my online gaming site. Your settings warn me that the site isn't ---https://. --- which I realize, and FIREFOX stops me from going to the site. How do I temporarily use a site, then restore the security? I appreciate how FIREFOX keeps us safe! TY!

After the recent update, I have lost all of my saved bookmarks and links. These were for work, and I am unable to do anything without them. Can someone please help me get everything back. Thank-you.

Sometimes the bookmark bar will just be completely empty (see screenshot). Clicking on the bar does nothing, they're not invisible they're actually gone. The bookmarks are still saved on my account, so right-clicking and removing and re-adding the bookmark bar restores them as they were. But I'm having to do this like 2-3 times a day and it's getting really annoying.

I've tried restarted the application and that didn't help. Firefox version: 124.0.2 (64-bit)

Hi, In the version of Firefox that I had on my previous computer, there was a panel to the left, which showed all the different web-sites that I visited frequently, and which I therefore could store in the column on that panel so that they were immediately accessible. I cannot find this feature in the version that I have now, but only a rather complicated way of storing bookmarks that I can then only find my way to after several clicks through some menus. Is there any way I can have it the 'old' way? Kind regards Ole

I start Firefox from a batch file (Win7) on the first boot of the day. Manually I choose my "NEWS" bookmarks folder, then slide down to "Open all in tabs". (attached image) (Then I go pour a coffee while the news article tabs open and load data!)

Please and thank you, is there a way to specify this action from the command line? And if so, what is it?

I believe that I could use such a mechanism in other ways, such as opening all tabs in my "Forums" folder of bookmarks, or on Mondays, opening all tabs in my "Weekly" bookmarks folder.
