why do none of the add ons i have downloaded work at all?

I have downloaded many add ons, most trying to block ads or remember user names and passwords but no ads have been blocked, and no sign in info has been remembered

IMO, too many similar extensions, which may not interact well with each other.

Try using Adblock Plus alone, and maybe the complimentary extensions.

Then explain what you want a password extension to do that the default password manager doesn't do.
