why has the drop down box in my location bar stopped working?
The arrow to the right of the Favorites star no longer activates a drop down box of the most frequently visited sites. Typing a www. or even starting a word activates the drop down for the location bar, but not for all of the sites visited.

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":
- Firefox (Tools) > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History, Bookmarks, History and Bookmarks
Another possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
