how to restore deleted bookmarks from "recently bookmarked"
I right clicked on "recently bookmarked" and saw a delete option so I thought I would clean up this overloaded file, but now I have no bookmarks in my bookmark folders. I had many bookmarks and would like to have them restored. For a senior citizen like me, programmers should never make "delete" an option without a warning to the effect of such a dangerous cause.

You can restore bookmarks from a backup, Firefox automatically creates 5 backup copies of your bookmarks. Follow the instructions for restoring bookmarks in the Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer article, picking a backup from a date before you deleted the bookmarks.

If you have accidentally removed bookmarks then use "Organize > Undo" in the bookmarks manager (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks) to get them back.
That only works if you haven't closed Firefox.
If it didn't work then you can restore the bookmarks from a JSON backup.
This will replace all current bookmarks and you lose bookmarks that were added since that backup was created.
