How do I remove a defuct site from Firefox URL Suggestions?
A website has moved a while ago, but when I type in the first few letters, I still get the URL to the now defunct site suggested. I tried long-pressing the entry under "Firefox Suggest", but do not get any options to remove it.
Since the defunct URL starts with the same 10 or so characters as the new one, I always have to type a lot to get to the correct page. On the other hand, I use it to rarely to warrant a bookmark.

Hi,
This is a known issue, it's already reported to Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1810837
The ticket also has a workaround though:
As a workaround, you can use the history search function and access the page again. This should cause the page to jump to the most current location in the history based on the most recent access, so that the desired entry can then be removed using the regular history view
Regards, Balázs
Thanks for your answer! Unfortunately the workaround doesn't work, probably because the URL now redirects to an "oops" page. Also, I find dozens of entries using the defunct URL, so the suggested workaround would be extremely cumbersome.
Any other suggestions?
I have a similar issue, but with a non-defunct site. No matter how many times I open it and delete it from my recent history, it remains in my previous history and in autofill.
