Thunderbird refuses my password. A window continually asks for the correct password. When I put it in, it is not satisfied. Consequently my email will not receive any help. Please call [edited phone# from community support forum]

It isn't thunderbird that wants the password, it is your email provider. If the password works online, but not with thunderbird, that is an indication that the email provider requires an 'app' password from email clients or that your configuration is incorrect. If you post a screenshot of your incoming server settings pane, that may generate some suggestions.
