How do I delete an Thunderbird account on this computer and replace it with a new one?
My husband rwkmann@allophone.com passed on 01-07-2025 and I would like to delete his account and add my account linmann@allophone to his computer account. How do I do that?

I suggest creating a new account alongside his. That lets you retrieve any unanticipated messages for him. You can use the same setup configuration as on his account. If you need help in the details just ask. And, I sincerely regret your loss. If my wife died, I would feel lost in this short life. You are in my thoughts.
