Why recently when I press enter while on an empty search bar it doesn't take me to the default search engine page that I have set for searching? e.g. I have google as mu default search engine and when I clicked on the empty search bar and pressed enter, google page would open. Can't tell exactly when this stopped working. Couple months ago.

In the separate search bar you can use Shift+Enter to open the search engine page. In the location/address bar you can type a space and press Enter.
