My Thunderbird stopped working on Sept. 29. Can't send or receive. The message "unable to authenticate to outgoing server (SMTP)" comes up. The GEEK Squad tried to fix it, couldn't.
Did Thunderbird make some changes that are blocking out users? Is there a fix? Thanks, Lee

Is this a Microsoft account? If so, a letter was sent to all users in late August of an upcoming change for October 1st. Please provide more info. If it was Microsoft, Try these: - incoming: outlook.office365.com, port 993, SSL/TLS, Oauth2 (assuming IMAP) - outgoing: smtp.office365.com, port 587, STARTTLS, Oauth2
