Hello,

sorry if this has been asked before. I have Thunderbird on Linux Mint at work, configured with work account, of course, and several others. How can I make Thunderbird show desktop notification when mail arrives ONLY for one account, and not for others. I tried clicking through settings, at it seems to me that I can configure notifications for all accounts or no notifications at all.

One of the usages of using a mail client is to have multiple accounts in the same program, and I hate webmail / am old school, but I hate it when my coworker sits with me in front of my screen, and suddenly a LinkedIn job offer from my personal account pops up in desktop notifications.

Again, sorry if I didn't read through everything, another problem is that the UI keeps changing alot, so setting aren't where they used to be... Is it possible in an easy way to do what I want?

Thanks, Davor

Thunderbird has global notifications, not per account notifications. So your choice is use what is there or use a separate profile for your work account and have it set notifications. Having two instances of Thunderbird running is not a problem so both profile are open and active.
