I am writing you using Safari. When I click on the Firefox icon in the dock, "Fiirefox" does not appear in the menu bar, instead I keep getting the same message window, "The application "Firefox" can't be opened."

I am using an iMac, OS 10.15.7. This problem just started today after using Firefox for years

Hi, jonzn4SUSE I cannot answer what version of Firefox because I cannot open the Firefox application . The app has been on my iMac for several years and may not have been updated unless Mozilla does that automatically. I try to keep it up to date. Thanks for your attention, Ned

This error is caused by a problem with Firefox program files. The solution is to remove the Firefox program and then reinstall Firefox. (This will not remove your passwords, bookmarks or other user data and settings which are stored in a separate profiles folder.)
