Firefox appears to stop Metamask & Ledger connecting

I am trying to allow Metamask access to crypto funds rather than the Ledget Nano S hardware wallet (my app doesn't see the asset on the via the hardware wallet). So I am initiating a transfer a get a problem with a pop up message (see screenshot).

I'd expect to have to confirm the transaction on the Ledger but don't seem to get that far.

Is this a a Firefox security issue - if so how do I overcome?

Not aware of having done anything different but have now managed a connection
