I successfully synced the bookmarks on Firefox desktop PC to my android phone years ago but I can't re-sync them and I want the changes in my desktop bookmarks to be mirrored in my Firefox android account. How can I get it to sync bookmarks and stay synced?

Hi

If you sign into your Firefox Account at https://accounts.firefox.com/signin , do you see both devices you wish to sync between listed under Connected Services?
