Hi, there used to be an add-on that would allow the user to set default columns. E.g. when you create new folder, these columns are applied. This add-on is not functional for the latest version of TB. I wonder if there is perhaps a way, in the year 2022, to set this finally in TB itself?

Thx in advance! K

Well, that feature isn't in the beta or the daily, so (unofficially, just my opinion), I would say no. Personally, I would not want it, because I set folders differently.

I would welcome it very much. I have a folder where I create and delete subfolders often. All of these subfolders are created with columns that do not inherit the settings of the parent folder. The subfolders simply get some column settings. Oh, well... :-(

You can copy the column arrangement from one folder to another or a set of subfolders. Open a folder with the desired columns, then click the icon at the right end of the column buttons, Apply columns to, Folder... or Folder and its children.

@sfhowes

Thank you for your reply! I am aware of that though. I was hoping to not to have to do that every time I create a new subfolder that does not inherit the parent folder's columns.
