I somehow lost Google as my home page and all my bookmark toolbar items. Does anyone know how I can restore? ?

Hi out there- 

I would greatly  appreciate advice about how I can fix this problem with restoring my  Google home page. I have no idea how I lost it since I made no changes to it. It was simply there last night and gone this morning. I am a writer and I make a living from the Internet so time lost is money  lost.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
