when I try to print from firefox child screen, all I get is the option to download a pdf of the screen.

I want to be able to print from the child screen. For example, when I look at a bank statement in a child screen, I can not print it. All Firefox does is let me download it as a pdf which I then have to click on to open and print.

That sounds like a print settings was pdf print the last time it was used. Otherwise there isn't a printer setup to print to. Did you do a print preview to see your print options?
