Play Netflix in 1080p?
Is it possible to integrate Netflix 1080p playback into Firefox? I don't want to download the extension. Firefox is one of the most popular browsers, so it's surprising that it can only play Netflix at a maximum resolution of 720p.

Unfortunately, currently this is not a function that we have for the FireFox browser. I do not currently know of any safe way to integrate this.
Hi richterbelmont10, I'm not sure how Netflix decides what resolution video to offer to different browsers. Perhaps it is based on their performance testing, or screen resolution, or some other factor? If possible, could you pose the question to Netflix, what it will take to be able to view Full HD in Firefox without add-ons?
Maybe it's a way to promote using their Windows app instead of a browser. In that case, they might not make any changes.
Meanwhile, I think you are referring to this add-on that modifies Netflix pages to allow 1080p in Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/ad.../force-1080p-netflix/. I don't see anything in the reviews that makes me suspicious, but I haven't tried it myself (I don't have Netflix!) or inspected the extension in detail.
