When I updated to the latest version of Firefox it no longer lets me open Google (or related) web pages, but can open any other page. How can this be fixed?

Now that my firefox browser has updated to the latest version it won't let me open google.com or any other related google service. It is coming up with the following message:

"Your connection is not secure

The owner of www.google.com.au has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox may only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate."

How can this be fixed? Previously i'd fixed it by downloading older version of firefox, but that is not a satisfactory solution.

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

This is on my work computer so can't go installing random firewalls, as we already have one. So this isn't helpful. Sorry.

Who said anything about installing Firewalls? The instructions were to check the firewalls.

Often a problem like yours is the fault of your protection programs.
