Signature only works on new emails
Hi
I have set up a email signature with an image, works great when i compose a new email, but it does not work when i reply to an email, and it does not work when i forward either, i did go to setting and ticked the two relevant boxes but still does not work. Is this bug ? Can anyone confirm please?
Thanks

My guess is it is working all the time. You are just not looking far enough down in the email (the end)
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reply-above-or-below-quoted-text and modify the signature position to follow your quote, not be at the end.
Thank you, it is working now :) But, when i compose a new email, my signature, my image is spaced below my text, so there is a gap between the text and the image. However, when i forward, the image is stuck to the text, i mean the image moves up. Any solution for this one?
Thank you again
signatures have a signature separator -- so the answer really depends on this. Perhaps your signature need you to place and enter at the beginning so it starts one line down.
Sorry I don't understand what you mean. The signature works fine when I compose a new email, the logo is one line down from the text. But when I forward or reply, not only the logo moves up and has no space to the text above it, but also the logo is right above the quoted email that I forward or reply to. I can maybe send a photo to explain better?
Hi
I just realised that it doesn-t do it on all emails, on some emails that i forward it shows up OK, on others it does not, so i think the problem is a bug and not my signature, any ideas?
Thanks
I think Matt's answer is the right one. Some messages you send you already inserted a new line (return) and when signature then add new line you get the extra space.
So his solution to add an extra line would give you one or two lines space.
I don't think you guys understand what i mean. I have added a space line at the top and at the bottom of the signature, inside the signature HTML box in options, and it is the same.
When i compose a new email, it looks good, and i have 2 dots or - at the top.
When i forward an email, the logo moves up, but the forwarded text not, and i dont get the two dots or - above.
when i reply to an email, the logo moves up, and the text in the replied email also moves up, so it looks horrible.
Please give me a clear solution, where to go in options ...etc to solve this problem.
On webmail, i do not have this issue, the signature does not change whether it is a new email, reply or forward
Thanks

I have tried entering a space line before and after the signature in my signature box, and still the same problem.
I repeat, when i start a new email, there is one line space between my logo and my text signature, which is how i want it.
But when i reply to an email, the logo automatically moves up one line and is too close to the text.
The other issue is when i reply to an email, my signature logo is too close to the text of the sender's email.
Basically i am losing hope with this, since i installed TB i only have problems and there seems to be no solution in the forum.
My guess is your new mail uses the Paragraph style and your reply uses body text which has no inherent space between paragraphs. or even preformat or some other style. Paragraph is the only one with the inherent explicit space between paragraphs.

i don't understand your english , your phrase above makes no sense
Hi
Does anyone have a solution to the signature problem ? I have stopped using TB since i have this problem.
Hello
Any solution ?
Maybe you've got an error in the HTML, causing the image to move to another place? Check the HTML-source and see verify that the image doesn't contain any added tags, but only size, title and/or border…
