This just affects Firefox on my machine, i.e., Chrome is just fine.

When I start a video (often off the BBC's website), the audio comes through almost instantly, but the video only appears after around 4 seconds. Also, if I pause a video, the video stops instantly, bu the audio carries on for around the same amount of time.

I've re-started in SafeMode, and also disabled hardware acceleration but all to no avail. Any ideas?

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
