Minimise, Maximise and Quit buttons appear as black

Using windows 7, open Firefox using the desktop/toolbar icon the Minimise, Maximise and Quit buttons appear correctly.

However when opening a link from an email (Thunderbird client) the Minimise, Maximise and Quit buttons appear to be blacked out.

Restarting Firefox in safe mode doesn't resolve the issue. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Looks like I may have resolved this issue by upgrading to the latest version of Thunderbird - hopefully this will help someone else.
