I wanted to delete some of my sent mail. I went to Firefox "Help" and typed "delete". Now all of my sent mail has disappeared. New messages sent do not appear in the sent mail folder. How to retrieve them and make all my new sent mail messages appear in the sent mail folder?

Ok I am lost.... what does Firefox have to do with Thunderbird? How do you go to Firefox help and type delete?
