Multi-Account Containers is a Firefox add-on that allows you to separate your shopping, work, banking, Facebook and personal browsing without having to delete your browsing history every time you exit the browser. To make it even more private, you can integrate Mozilla VPN into each container and choose a different location server for each one of them.
How to install Multi-Account Containers with Mozilla VPN
Follow the steps below to install the Multi-Account Containers extension and integrate it with your Mozilla VPN.
- Visit the Firefox Multi-Account Containers add-on page.
- Click the button.
- Click on the window that opens in the top right of your browser, to install the extension.
- Once the installation is complete, click the Multi-Account Containers
icon.
- Select the
button on the panel.
- You will then see a few more panels giving you useful information about the extension. The final panel will prompt you to choose whether you want to accept the necessary permissions to integrate Mozilla VPN with Multi-Account Containers.
- On the final panel, click
How to set up custom locations per container
On the top right side of your browser, select the Firefox Multi-account Containers add-on .
- Select
- Select the container for which you want to enable a specific location. The container's management panel will open.
- Under the Mozilla VPN section, switch the toggle next to Use a custom location for this container.
- Choose a location.
How to exclude individual containers from VPN protection
- On the top right side of your browser, select the Firefox Multi-account Containers add-on
.
- Select
- Select the container that you'd want to exclude from VPN protection.
- On the bottom of the menu, select
- Write socks://localhost:3182 and select the Apply to Container button.
Done! Moving forward this Container will not be protected by the Mozilla VPN even when it's on.
