Mcafee site advisor and rapport addons do not install in firefox on my vista machine. Install ok in internet explorer and an earlier version of firefox on my netbook. Will revert to ie if I can't find a fix

hello, you'd have to contact the vendors of those two addons - 3rd party developers of extensions that hook into firefox are responsible for maintaining compatibility. there's not much firefox can do about it...

Note that both programs have been reported to cause crashes in Firefox.

Site Adviser and Trusteer are both questionably useful, cause memory leaks and frequent crashes, and I never recommend them to anyone. As madperson said, if you really want to use them, contact their vendors.
