How do I change the location of pop-up windows?

In the past, my pop-ups opened in the upper left. Not sure why, but now they're opening in the upper right. I would like the default position to revert back to the upper left. Yes, I can move the pop-up windows each time, but I'd rather have them automatically positioned back to the upper left. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

I just asked a similar question today (April 10, 2011), and uber-knowledgeable cor-el provided the following suggestion which worked beautifully for me:

Try:

   * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Corrupt_localstore.rdf

(Fortunately I had a not-too-old backup of the file they refer to. If you don't have a recent copy, you may need to re-do some-to-all of your toolbar customizations, as described in the document.)

Thanks for the tip. Turns out a few weeks ago my pop-ups magically realigned themselves on the left. Hope they don't wind up moving again.

Fyi to anyone reading this: Based on the timing of when the problem started for me I have to wonder if the corruption *might* have come from using CCleaner's "compact Firefox database" function.
