In the past, when I created an event, a reminder would dutifully appear at the appointed time. That's suddenly stopped. I created an event for today, April 10th, from 12:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. It's now many hours past midnight and no reminder popped up. I believe this is the second straight reminder this has happened with. In the Today Pane, the event is displayed under Today.

I'm using Thunderbird 38.7.2.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

I've not experienced it and don't know why it's happening. But have you tried removing Lightning, closing and restarting Thunderbird, and then reinstalling Lightning? Also have you tried disabling all other add-ons in case one of them is interfering with it?

I've been extremely busy and might continue to be so for the next few days. I'll give your suggestions a try as soon as I can and will post the result here.

Thank you.

Sorry it took so long. Didn't work.

Are you using a Google calendar? There's a post here about that: http://nw360.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/default-reminder-not-working-in.html There are several other fairly recent posts on the internet about Thunderbird reminders not working, but there's no consistency between them and not all of them offer solutions. I can't think of anything else to help you, I'm afraid.

Have never used Google Calendar.

Thank you for your efforts.
