re: they only send a reset password link to Thunderbird acc

When you set up web hosting or purchasing an email address with gandi, you would have supplied another email address for contacting purposes, which was not the gandi email address. They would have sent the email to that email address. They would not send it to the gandi email address because they know you cannot access it without the password.

Perhaps it was an email address given to you by your ISP and you have a mail account in Thunderbird accessing that server. Attempt to logon to your ISP webmail account using a browser. If you have forgotten that password, there should be a 'forgot pasword' or similar link you can use to get access to the webmail account.

Reset this password. Then test to make sure you can access the webmail account using that password.

This is the password you need to use to create the mail account to your ISP mail account in Thunderbird.

You should be able to see the email from gandi in both the webmail account and also in Thunderbird.

then you can sort out the gandi mail account.
