Our organization uses '''GoDaddy''' which worked fine with Thunderbird until GoDaddy migrated to Microsoft Exchange 365/Outlook. According to GoDaddy, Microsoft does not allow any of the authentication protocols offered by Thunderbird for SMTP outgoing messages. Thunderbird has helpfully added a Microsoft 365 option for SMTP settings in the latest update, but when you click that it says that you have to get a third-party paid app called OWL to make it work. I've used Thunderbird to keep my email out of the clutches of Microsoft Outlook and would like that to continue. I've also been donating to Thunderbird for years so I'm not opposed to paying.
